Whatever takes your fancy, from Asian wok-fried noodles to slow-cooked tagine, or even a vegan-friendly Sunday dinner, we have you covered, see our top 10 restaurant recommendations where you can bring your own booze in London.

Sakana Sushi, Liverpool Street

Turns out you don’t like sake? Well perfect, because this Japanese sushi joint let’s you bring your own booze (Berczy). Choose between your favourite sushi rolls (we love a prawn katsu tempura roll), poke or even teriyaki chicken if you’re not feeling like fish. Move aside Little Moons, as their selection of mochi look deliciously authentic.

Mangal 2, Stoke Newington

Run by Ali Dirik, a chef from Istanbul, Mangal 2 was opened in 1994. It is an inventive ocakbasi restaurant that has a charcoal barbecue where he grills flavourful kebabs, kofta, octopus and much more. The menu is inspired by Anatolian cuisine, and is in a laid back setting in quirky Stoke Newington.

Caboose, Brick Lane

In the heart of quirky Shoreditch is this little joint of tasty street food. Dine al fresco or book their rustic cabin for a more intimate evening. Their menu spans pulled pork belly, slow smoked chicken wings and sliced beef brisket, perfect for meat lovers. The chef only sources the best meat from ethically sourced butchers. And, there’s an ice bucket to keep your drinks (Berczys) chilled.

Bintang, Kentish Town

For those who’ve been travelling in Asia, the name Bintang alone will be nostalgic. We won’t be offended if you bring your own Bintang for this one. Not only is this Filipino Pan-Asian restaurant a quirky spot with a large outdoor seating area, it’s renowned for its wings. If you can handle some spice, try the carabao fried wings to start. Followed by the classic Bintang curry with either aubergine, chicken or prawns. If after that, you haven’t quite feasted enough, the Mamasons dirty ice cream will be a sweet treat to finish on.

M Restaurants, The City & Victoria

Renowned for a fantastic array of the finest meat cuts, why not ease in with some sashimi or tartare. Meat eaters will no doubt opt for the Kobe or Wagyu beef, notably the Beeswax Blackmore Wagyu that is aged in a Himalayan Salt Chamber and cooked the traditional Japanese way with soy. On Monday’s, pair your meat feast with Berczy, our Lemon & Lime will be a lighter alternative to a G&T.

Minnow, Clapham

Set just off Clapham Common northside, this Insta-worthy restaurant is a top pick for local Claphamites. Have a late Sunday afternoon or evening meal (between 4-7.45pm), and tuck into their organic roast with the trimmings, plus pudding and BYOB, for £24.

Little Georgia, Hackney & Islington

Never tried Georgian food? Think grilled aubergine, cheese bread and dumplings, if you’re not sure what to start with then opt for the mezze platter. This retro restaurant gives an insight into Georgian history with Soviet-era posters and artefacts, and if you forget your booze there’s always some grape vodka...

Mien Tay, Shoreditch, Battersea, Fulham & Wood Green

Dotted across London, this south-western Vietnamese stop has all the classics, like crispy pancakes, spring rolls and spare ribs. Highlights include the deep-fried sea bass with fish sauce and mango and grilled quail.

Zizoutagine, Balham

These homemade, slow-cooked tagines are made by Zizou the chef. Paired with potatoes, couscous or flat bread, are flavourful stews that are abundant in spices. The interiors will transport you to a Moroccan riad, as the sounds of traditional music add to the atmosphere.

Kaosarn, Clapham, Brixton or Tooting

Out of Kaosarn’s three locations, we do love the Brixton venue as it’s in the vibrant and buzzy Brixton Market. All the curries are bursting with flavour, the Massaman in particular is a show-stopper with its rich coconut sauce and goes well with either beef or lamb.
